What day are we??

I don't know what I was expecting, but I can tell you, I wasn't expecting it to get so dark so early! The sun rises here around 5:30am, and by 5:30pm it's pitch black outside! Crazy! I mean, I guess 12hrs of sunlight is good, but I guess I was expecting more? Kind of like in our summer days, where the sun rises early and sets really late. But that isn't the case.
Even though it gets dark quite early, it's not cold, the weather never disappoints and the darkness doesn't bring on a depressive state.

It was sunny all weekend, but during the week so far, it's been mostly cloudy. It doesn't deter from the awesomeness that is this weather. Sometimes it's humid, but breathable. Hot but not sweltering. Today the sun was back, ready to sizzle mah skin! But it didn't make a lobster out of me yet!

Chichi started working this week, so our sleep pattern has been all over the place. He's working night shifts, but the balance of sleep and awake times is still kind of out of whack.  Add to that our lack of sleep from last week where we were pulling all-nighters as we tried to finish moving to the condo before leaving for here, I'm so tired! I know he is too!

He leaves for work around 9pm every night, comes home around 7 or 8am. We eat breakfast together, then go for a little walk and come home to sleep. Get up around noonish to eat and then back to sleep.
I wouldn't be so tired if I actually slept during the nights. But I've been waking up usually around 3:30am and putz around doing things until, hey look! It's time for breakfast! Last night I woke up at 2:30am. At 3:30am without fail, there's a rooster that starts cockadoodle-doo-ing as it does every morning for about an hour and a half!
I've tried my best today, to not sleep as much throughout the day, though I did nap for a while because I was exhausted. I'm hoping that tonight I will sleep right through Mr. Rooster and only wake up for breakfast!

Our days are out of whack, it feels like I'm on night shift again. Never sure if it's the next morning or the same evening. The date and time on my lappy isn't helping much, as it's still set to the time back home in Montreal.

We've had to take a lot of matters into our own hands. The company that was supposed to meet us on arrival was a no-show. Thankfully, one of Chichi's contacts came to pick us up at the airport. No hotel or accommodations were made for us either. Chichi was able to book a room, but not even for the full month, we'll check with the hotel to see if they can't extend our stay, but when we arrived they would only book it until next Monday, the 19th, saying they were fully booked after that date. No stress. It's been crunch time!
This mystery company, we've just found out isn't even based in Davao, they're in Manila. Talk about being lost..someone must've thought both cities were in walking distance of each other! Now they have to find us a different company based in Davao that will assist us, otherwise the Manila office will have to fly over.

The putzing around I've been doing all night long, has been fruitful for the most part. I've been looking for prospective rentals. We're currently looking for a place to stay, again with help from his contact, but not the company that was hired to work with him -_- it's pretty pathetic in that regard! Hopefully we'll find something soon, so we can move in. We'll take it long term, even though we'll probably be making our way home to apply for visas (something else that was promised but doesn't look like it will be upheld *le sigh*). It'll be better to pay rent here while we're away, so that when we return we'll already have a place to stay.

We may go visit some rentals on Friday.. is that tomorrow? Later today? Ah haha I'm so brain dead!
