Friday November 16th

This past Friday (November 16th) we were taken around to see some rental properties. At the rate it's costing us per day at the hotel, it'll be cheaper to get a place to stay. Not only will it cut down the cost of lodging, but also on the cost of food. By having a kitchen, we'll be able to cook at home. Finally!
When I had been doing some research prior to our travels, I had read that as a foreign national we're not allowed to buy property, but the agent we saw mentioned that that is only in regards to buying land. That buying a condo is allowed, that is definitely something worth looking into if our stay is to be prolonged. A quick search gives me the same info. So condo = yes, land = no.

I'm kicking myself, I never thought to take pictures. We saw about 8 properties? I can remember 1 vividly and then parts of others lol. We did ask to see a few again and that time I took some pictures. The property we have our eyes on, I've got pictures for that one. It's a 1 bedroom, we were originally looking for 2 bedrooms, but this one is very spacious. It's a closed bedroom with washroom/shower. A kitchen area and a second washroom (toilet & sink only) near the dining room. It's like a big 3 1/2 queen sized bed, a real full stove (a lot of places only have stove top elements, the portable kind). A really big sofa in the living room, and we have a table with chairs in the dining room (more than 2 chairs!).  There's also room for a washer/dryer which we were told can be requested (if not, we can get our own). It also comes with a parking, not that we'll be driving while we're here. Our agent will try to see if she can have the rent knocked down a bit since we won't be using the parking, even if the price stays as-is, it'll still be a good price. I will put pictures up once we sign the lease. Don't want to jinx anything.
It's also located in Abreeza Place, tower 1 I believe. Chichi originally wanted something at Abreeza Residences (which is the tower right next to the Seda Hotel, where we're currently staying), but after seeing both towers, Abreeza Place is a lot nicer! They have those run off pools, I can't remember what they're called.. quick google search! It's an infinity pool! There's a gazebo area (really kicking myself that I didn't take pictures of that) that's on a grassy terrace. There's a gym and also a really nice lookout area on the top floor of the tower. Everything is gorgeous!
Abreeza Residences also has an infinity pool, but it runs into a wall. Not the same effect as the other tower, where it runs into the sky. There's also a gym, less cardio machines (a total of 2 as opposed to Abreeza Place) and more weights, I think I saw a bench press too. Looks like a man's gym. (Abreeza Place has more hand weights.) Again, pictures would have been so helpful!

We might be visiting more properties soon. Yes, even if we already have our eyes set on something. The company that was supposed to help us find a place and give us an orientation session finally contacted us! We'll take their assistance, in case there was something we should've checked before taking a rental, etc. They mention having found prospects for us and so we will meet them this Friday and see what they've found. Maybe there will be something that meets our original criteria. Maybe what we found will still be what we want. If we're going to be living there it needs to be comfortable, otherwise it'll be a looong stay that will feel looooooong.
